In the grand tradition of UK folks heading to DebConf, let's try to co-ordinate DebConf travel.
DebConf 15 is in Heidelberg in Germany, on Sat 15 to Sat 22 August, preceded by DebCamp from Sun 9 to Fri 14 August.
1. Road trip!
Heidelberg isn't very far from the UK (Google Maps suggests ~7.5 hours of driving from Cambridge), so clearly we should do a convoy!

Google thinks that it will take 2h10 to get to the ferry, and we should arrive at least 30 min before departure. Lets say 3h Door to Ferry depart to allow for checkin plus Traffic / Road works / cock-ups etc. Eat breakfast on the ferry

1) FRANCE
- E15, E17, E50.
6hr drive time French Tolls
2) FRANCE, BELGIUM, HOLLAND, GERMANY
- E40, E19, A3 (Brussels), E314, E40, E35 6hr10
And from Dunkirk 3) As Route 2 above 6h
Suspect Route 2 from either ferry crossing.
We should allow 2 15min pit stops (or 4 if Neil insists on taking the MX5) plus a 1hr meal break. Making a total of 7hr30 from ferry to arrive.
Return Trip we don't want to be departing at 5am! more like 1000hrs... That would mean we would want to catch a 1800ish ferry...
