1. COVID SAFETY
We could not have our event in 2020 due to the pandemic. We are planning to go ahead in 2021, but there will be some changes to the normal organisation. Please note the following.
We are assuming that the slow re-opening of the UK will continue and the end of August will be clear. But there is always a chance that we may have to cancel. Plan accordingly for travel and accommodation. Much as we might prefer otherwise, it's also not likely that non-UK residents will be able to travel.
We only want a maximum of 40 people on site at any one time, to allow us at least some space to spread out.
We expect that all people attending will be vaccinated against COVID-19 as much as (practically) possible. Please fill in the extra column in the usual sign-up table below. If you're genuinely not fully vaccinated for a good reason (medically exempt, under-16, etc.), then talk to us in advance so we're aware. Those avoiding the vaccine for some other reason ("choice", conspiracy theory bollocks or whatever) will not be welcome. To mis-quote somebody famous: "anti-vaxx morons can go and die in a great big chemical fire".
Please bring masks with you. We'll have plenty of hand soap, hand sanitising gel, etc.
We are not planning to go as a group to the Regal pub in advance as has often been the case in previous years. If you must go somewhere first, please go somewhere better: the Haymakers is just around the corner, for example!
2. People
The following people have expressed interest in attending the party in Cambridge @ Steve and Jo McIntyre's house on the 28th to 30th of August (Saturday 2021-08-28 → Monday 2021-08-30):

3. Crash Space
Insert something cunning to ensure everyone has a bed here. Try this... mail the person listed and ask if you can crash. Then update the page appropriately.

4. Transport
Offers of lifts. Mail the person listed, and ask if it's OK to tag along.

A new station, Cambridge North, was built especially for events at Steve's house in May 2017. It is a 15 minute walk from the BBQ. Rumours that the track was originally laid in Debian swirls are entirely unfounded.
5. Cakes
We may persuade people to bake...
6. Bread
There is also a chance that fresh bread might be made.
7. Schedule
Vague schedule idea based on previous years:
- Meet up at 87KW (Steve and Jo's) house about four o'clock.
- Supermarket trip (6pm-ish), barbeque and inebriation (all damned night)
- Dispersal to sleeping locations and sleep, then up at the crack of noon for a full cooked breakfast
- Rinse and repeat
- Keysigning sometime / any time over the weekend
8. Beer + Food
We're hoping we may get some lovely people to sponsor supplies for the weekend.
Please let Steve know if you'd like to help!
9. Location
87, Kendal Way, Cambridge CB4 1LP. OpenStreetMap thinks that it is here.
10. Keysigning
There will probably be some impromptu key signing...
