FOSDEM 2007

FOSDEM 2007 happens on 24/25th February in Brussels. I expect the usual suspects will be there again.

People

The hostel booking already happened so I've removed the hostel info from here. See DanielSilverstone's note below.

Transport

Eurostar? 49.00 GBP return if booked in advance or Youth 26.

Sledge: I'll be driving again, giving lifts again this year if requested. Space in the car for 3 people (so far) and small amounts of stuff too if people ask nicely... tbm is interested, so is wookey. Ferries booked: Dover-Calais Friday 23/02/2007 at 13:45; Calais-Dover Sunday 25/02/2007 at 21:00. Spaces gone to tbm, wookey and enrico (outbound). Space for one on the way home if sombody is desperate.

dotwaffle: I'll also be driving, route: Loughborough -M1-> London -M2-> Dover -Ferry-> Dunkerque -> Brussels. Space in car for 3/4, although may be giving lifts to people from Loughborough SU Computer Society. ...or not, the Car failed its MOT and dotwaffle is taking the Eurostar now.

Accommodation

Youth hostels about 15EUR a night. Conference hotel has been around 50GBP a night.

Atlas (http://www.atlas-hotel.be) is about 50GBP single, 58GBP double, 79GBP triple.

Booking for the hostel and provisional room allocation has been made. You can see it at FOSDEM2007RoomBookings. The booking is final, The room allocations are not. If you want to change your rooms around, just chat amongst yourselves and update the wiki. I will be handing a printoff of the page to the hostel when I arrive there on Friday afternoon, so ensure any changes are made before 06:00 UTC on the Friday. If you want to pull out, you need to find a replacement for yourself and get them to email me and agree to everything so that the page can be updated in that timeframe. Otherwise you will owe the amount due for your not turning up to DanielSilverstone.

If you're still looking for somewhere to stay - Citadines Sainte-Catherine currently (as of 2007-02-12) has twin rooms for 62EUR a night. I like them because you get a fridge and microwave -- WillHargrave

Beer

Friday evening: drinks on the top floor of the Le Roy d'Espagne on the Grand Place. Can't miss it; it's the one with the stuffed horse. Probably go for food before.
