1. Debian packaging of xfce4

This is probably really dull for anyone except SimonHuggins and to an extent DanielSilverstone.

2. Build Order

xfce4 build order with build-depends:

  • gtk2-engines-xfce - only gtk
  • libxfce4util

    • libxfcegui4

    • libxfce4mcs

      • xfce-mcs-manager

        • xfce-mcs-plugins
        • xfce4-iconbox
        • xfce4-utils
        • xfdesktop4
        • xffm4
        • xfprint4
        • xfwm4
        • xfcalendar
        • xfce4-panel

          • xfce4-mixer
          • xfce4-systray
          • xfce4-themes
          • xfce4-toys
          • xfce4-trigger-launcher

Because buildds are broken and don't check build-depends and do dep-wait stuff automagically the plan to get this into unstable is to upload in 5 stages (yes, 5 *sigh*) with the stuff in bold with urgency=high.

3. Bugs

[http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=xfce4,libxfcegui4,libxfce4mcs,libxfce4util,xfce-mcs-manager,xfce-mcs-plugins,xfwm4,xffm4,xfdesktop4,xfce4-panel,xfce4-iconbox,xfce4-utils,xfprint4,xfcalendar,xfce4-mixer,xfce4-themes,xfce4-systray,xfce4-toys,xfce4-trigger-launcher Bug list on Debian BTS]

Need to fix:

4. Misc

Simon: Should we consider adopting the xfce4-goodies stuff? Namely bugs 2445{58,59,60,61,62,65,66,67,68,69} It would increase the bug list to: [http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?src=xfce4,libxfcegui4,libxfce4mcs,libxfce4util,xfce-mcs-manager,xfce-mcs-plugins,xfw4m,xffm4,xfdesktop4,xfce4-panel,xfce4-iconbox,xfce4-utils,xfprint4,xfcalendar,xfce4-mixer,xfce4-themes,xfce4-systray,xfce4-toys,xfce4-trigger-launcher,xfce4-systemload-plugin,xfce4-showdesktop-plugin,xfce4-notes-plugin,xfce4-netload-plugin,xfce4-minicmd-plugin,xfce4-diskperf-plugin,xfce4-datetime-plugin,xfce4-clipman-plugin,xfce4-battery-plugin,xfce4-artwork this]-- DanielSilverstone

Probably yes. I need to look at all the other packages first though really I guess. Might get some time to look at stuff on Sunday. -- SimonHuggins

Did Robster adopt these then? Looks like "Rudy Godoy" may have got there first.
