This is a quick ToDo list for debconf 7. It is not complete, and feel free to add stuff. Try and put things in time followed by importance order, so if A has to be done now, it goes before B which can wait ten months. Inside that, If C is more important than D, C goes before D.
Throughout:
- talk to sponsors, keep track of minimum/maximum we'll have to spend; as much as possible avoid allocating funds that aren't yet certain
Working forwards towards conference:
- start building teams for specific aspects: e.g. venues, accommodation; integrate with existing teams for e.g. video
- sort out money expectations: what is the minimum we'll pay for?
- book venue (most important thing to arrange/pay for), checking we will later have the rooms/access times/networking we need
- book hostels
- sort out food details
- sort out network/internet details
- sort out arrangements for paying remaining money needed, work out how to spend money not yet allocated (travel sponsorship etc.)
