The closest airports I could find that are served by budget airlines are Tampere (2 hours away by train) and Tallinn (3 hours away by ferry). Their fares for these dates are not much lower than Finnair's. Stockholm (Ryanair) might is rather cheaper to fly to but requires a long and maybe expensive ferry journey after.

moray: I'm planning to go, but will be travelling from Edinburgh - though it looks like flying via London may be sensible.

Gatwick is good for me, Heathrow isn't too bad. Standstead is a little more stressful, but more than doable. - JD
