This page is intended to collect random bits of information about the E3's hardware so that people don't have to keep asking.

The E3 consists of a Texas Instruments OMAP5910 processor, some RAM, some NOR Flash, some NAND flash, a fixed-line modem and codec, a little camera and an STN colour display, a smartcard slot and a PS/2 keyboard. There's also a keypad matrix and some LEDs.

There are closeup pictures of the main board (front and back) here http://mcallow.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/e3

  • The smartcard controller is a TDA8024
  • The modem appears to be a controller-based Conexant V.90 modem. It appears as a standard UART to Linux.
  • The NAND flash is a Toshiba TC58DVM82A1FT00 and is compatible with SmartMedia

  • The NOR flash is an Atmel AT49LV1025 and is not CFI compatible
