'''Sledge''': I'm considering driving from Cambridge; it's a relatively short and easy trip, and with 4 in the car not too expensive either (comparable to the train, at worst). It also lets me take kit along too if that's useful. If you'd be interested add your name here: |

We should be in Brussels ~18:30 on the Friday, and need to leave again ~18:00 on Sunday. If people have kit they'd ''desperately'' like taken from Cambridge to Brussels or back, let me know. |
FOSDEM 2005
[http://www.fosdem.org/2005/ FOSDEM 2005] is happening on 26/27th February in Brussels. A bunch of ["DebianUK"] people are likely to be going, leaving at some point on Friday 25th, consuming a huge amount of beer, and returning either Sunday evening or Monday morning.

Transport
Eurostar seems to be the preferred choice. the £59.00 return option is available under multiple guises (see below); however there's a limited (and shared) quota on each departure at that price; After that it's £69.00, £79.00 ...
- Yoof-26 fare for people still with hair
- Leisure-Saver, need to stay one Saturday night away, or two nights during the week (non-changeable etc)
- Leisure-Saver, but booked 21days in advance (also non-changeable etc)
- OAP, fare for people without hair, anyone feel like trying this on?
The 10:43 on Friday seems to be £29.50, but returns on Sunday night at 17:56 or 20:25 are £49.50. I can't see anything later. - JD
The 10:42 on Friday seems to have gone up to £39.50 now, so you may as well leave at 14:42. - Robot101

nat: I'm probably flying from Bristol on Friday at about 9ish like the last 2 years.
moray: I plan to fly from Edinburgh, like I did last year.
Sledge: I'll be driving from Cambridge; it's a relatively short and easy trip, and with 4 in the car not too expensive either (comparable to the train, at worst). The following 4 people will be in the car:
- Sledge
- Wookey
- Daniel Silverstone
- Robert Kendrick

jcm: I'm going to want to sort this if possible before February.
Accomodation
Any ideas?
JD: Youth hostels about 15EUR a night. Conference hotel has been around 50GBP a night.
Riddell: KDE have booked http://www.laj.be/html/en/hostels/brel/aubergesbrel_en01.htm
jcm: The guys at http://www.mind.be/ have, in previous years, offered crash space and are likely to do so again. Stay tuned for announcements from them.
moray: mjg59, stargirl and I plan to stay at the Atlas, http://www.atlas.be/
Beer
Place to meet on Friday?
Paul Sladen: There's a semi-unorganised drink-fest IIRC. Not to be missed.
JD: usually drinks on the top floor of the Le Roi d'Espagne on the Grand Place. Can't miss it; it's the one with the stuffed horse. Probably go for food before.
jcm: Le Roi is the place to be on Friday night.
